Who can play:

8 - 10 years Junior Non-competition (NetSetGo program)
11- 17 years Junior Competition
18+ years Senior Competition

Fees for 2017

$360 for 1 player
$630 for 2 players
$870 for 3 players
$1,080 for 4 players
these include a $60 family levy, which is refundable at the end of the season once a duty has been performed.
If you cancel your registration after 28th February you will be charged an administration fee.

Where your fees go

Phoenix Netball Club pays many and varied fees which are all included in a once off payment at the beginning of the season.  A significant amount of player fees go to Downey Park Netball Association which also includes Netball Qld Fees, and Netball Australia fees for insurance.
The remaining part of the fees contribute to non-playing members fees (e.g coaches, managers), ground fees, umpiring fees, team photos, new equipment, trophies and presentation night, netball clinics for coaches and umpires, lighting and administration costs.
Unfortunately, Downey Park and Netball Queensland have both increased their fees for the 2017 season, the Phoenix portion of your fee's have not increased, as we continue to strive to make netball affordable.

Junior Netball Programme

Net Set Go is a play based skills program for 6 – 10 year olds, who are not playing club netball.
Emphasis is on the acquisition of the basic motor skills, in a fun environment of games and activities.
Children join the program as individuals, not as a team.
The program promotes participation, skill development and fun.
Our club runs the program every October.

Club Policy with respect to team selection

11 years and over

Team trials are held within a couple of weeks from sign-on at the beginning of the season.  A player will be put into a team that reflects their age and ability.

8's, 9's and 10's

With regard to the 9 years and 10 years teams, each year the Phoenix Netball Club ensures that there is a mix of returning players and new players in each team.  We DO NOT keep the same teams together from the previous year.  We stress to both players and parents that when you join our club you become part of the Phoenix Family, which is not limited to school groups, or predeveloped friendship groups.

Playing netball is a team sport that allows players to solidify current friendships but also gives them the chance to expand their friendship base with other players within the club.  At different times in their netball career they will come in contact with a wide variety of players.  Our position on team allocations is an important part of the players development and transition to competitive netball.

We thank all parents for their understanding and support.
