At Phoenix Netball we strive to promote a positive team environment. As part of a team we need to be able to trust that our teammates are working hard and putting in their best effort to achieve a common goal. At Phoenix Netball Club we expect that every player who joins one of our teams will make this commitment.
As a player at Phoenix netball I will:
- Treat my team mates with respect and kindness;
- Always try my best;
- Be respectful towards my coach, manager and opposition;
- Communicate openly with my coach and teammates;
- Attend weekly training sessions;
- Attend weekly games at Downey Park.
Phoenix Netball Club believes that training is an important part of team sport. It shows commitment and dedication to the team and club and as such, players are expected to attend all training sessions. Players should arrive at least five minutes prior to the start time so that training can commence on time.
If you cannot attend training players must notify their coach or manager as soon as you become aware of unavailability (school camps, holidays etc.) 24 hours’ notice should be given by players who are unwell (ASAP if last minute illness)
If training session is missed without notification game court time may be lost. It is not acceptable for any player to regularly miss training.
Our goal is for every player to be able to play in a positive supportive environment where they can achieve their best. Knowing that every member of the team is committed to this will ensure a positive and successful season at Phoenix Netball Club.
